DID YOU KNOW - Disease from unsanitary water kills more people yearly than violence and war.
Founded in 2006 by Scott Harrison of New York. His mission is to bring clean water to all the developing countries of the world, working in 29 countries. To date, they have 59,608 K projects established - all by locally trained engineers who also monitor regularly to ensure the wells are continuing to provide for the communities. There are 663 million people in the world without access to water.
Because of Charity Water - a nonprofit organization - there are now 11,665 million people who have water.
DID YOU KNOW - Tropical deforestation accounts for up to 15% of net global carbon emissions each year. That is about as much as every car. truck, bus, plane, ship, and train on the planet combined.
Founded in 1988 in New York - Rainforest Trust purchases land to save critically endangered species ranging from animals, plants insects to amphibians. They sign this land back over to the indigenous people to ensure its protection against deforestation. They work all over the world - Amazon, Congo, Nepal, and Malaysia to name a few
DID YOU KNOW - Restoring the ocean could feed one billion people a healthy meal every day.
Oceana was established by a group of leading foundations who discovered there was not one organization devoted to restoring the world's oceans. In 2002, Ted Danson merged his own ocean organization with Oceana. Together they have protected 4.5 million square miles of ocean to date.
DID YOU KNOW - Elephants are truly amazing creatures with emotions and a high level of intelligence. They dig for water with their tusks, also helping many other smaller animals to survive
Approximately 100,000 elephants in Africa were killed for their ivory in just 3 years between 2010 and 2012. The demand for ivory in the far East is the primary driver of the killing. In 4 years up to 2014, the wholesale price of raw ivory tripled, reaching a per kilo dollar price of $2100 USD

DID YOU KNOW - In Vietnam 5 million dogs are slaughtered inhumanely for meat !!
Founded in 2003 by John and Gill Dalley of England - they initially moved to Thailand to retire, until they saw vast numbers of dogs and cats without homes. Tortured and abused.
Their work is reaching further into Asia, Vietnam, and Bangkok.
